St Thomas Student Accommodation

Wallace Whittle have recently completed the MEP consultancy services for the new £25m 378-bed, nine storey student accommodation building at St. Thomas Street, Bristol. The building achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating at completion and was the first Student Accommodation in the city to be connected to the local Bristol City Council district heating network. The district heating plate heat exchangers, associated pump sets and controls were housed within the basement level plant space, and provided the project with a low carbon solution for LPHW Heating and hot water which negated the need for any fossil fuel burning boilers on the project.
