Craiglockhart Leisure and Tennis Centre

Wallace Whittle supported the delivery of a new purpose-built spin studio at Craiglockhart Leisure and Tennis Centre, transforming an underused lower-floor social space into a high-quality fitness environment for Edinburgh Leisure members.

Delivered in just six weeks, the £246,000 project was completed while the leisure centre remained fully operational throughout the works, requiring careful coordination and minimal disruption to staff and visitors. The new studio provides a dedicated home for the centre’s popular indoor cycling programme and supports the reinstatement of its full group cycling timetable for the first time since reopening after COVID-19 lockdowns.

The studio incorporates advanced lighting and sound systems designed to enhance the user experience and support high-energy classes. The improved facilities enable Edinburgh Leisure to better meet growing member demand and continue supporting health and wellbeing across the local community.
