Community Custodial Units for Scottish Prison Service

We are delivering full MEP design services for two new Community Custody Units (CCUs) for the Scottish Prison Service. These purpose-built facilities in Dundee and Glasgow represent a progressive approach to custodial care, supporting the reintegration and resettlement of women into the community. 

Both CCUs have been designed to provide a safe, supportive, and rehabilitative environment, incorporating modern reception areas, communal spaces with kitchen facilities, secure gardens, and individual bedrooms. Our team utilised BIM Level 2 via Revit to ensure seamless coordination and precision throughout the design process. 

To maximise efficiency and optimise environmental conditions, we conducted detailed energy and natural ventilation analyses from the outset. The buildings feature sustainable design solutions, ensuring compliance with stringent energy performance requirements while creating comfortable and functional spaces.
