Position Summary:

BIM Technician with experience of producing 3D models and data associated with MEP services design, to work alongside local office BIM team and engineers.  The role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work on some large, innovative projects that Wallace Whittle are currently involved in.

Responsibilities and authority:

  • Production of accurate 2D CAD drawings
  • Production of accurate 3D BIM models and co-ordination of services using Autodesk Revit software
  • Use of Navisworks software for clash detection and resolution
  • Liaising with engineers to offer support and advice regarding Revit use and services co-ordination
  • Setting up drawings and x-refs for engineers’ use
  • Implementing best practices and procedures aligned with Wallace Whittle BIM standards
  • Assist or lead in BIM project meetings

Education and Experience:

  • Three years’ experience working with Revit MEP as a contractor or consultant
  • Experience in the production of building services drawings and associated co-ordination

Specific skills, knowledge, competencies and training

Essential:

  • Autodesk Revit, CAD & Navisworks skills
  • Good personal time management skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines both individually and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Be self-motivated, pro-active, ambitious and keen to continually learn and improve
  • Flexible working attitude

Desirable:

  • Understanding of PAS1192, ISO19650 or BSRIA BG6
  • Used to working with project BEP’s and CDE’s
  • Element Classification using Uniclass 2015
  • Experience delivering COBie Data Drops
  • Experience in project management
  • University level of education
  • Interest in computers
  • Experience of Dynamo
